23Red Racing has been formed out of the former Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport two-car Holden team, with long-time sponsor Phil Munday assuming a 60 percent share and former Supercars driver Cameron McConville taking on the role of team director.
23Red Racing has entered into a technical alliance with Prodrive Racing Australia and will field the ex-PRA Falcon driven to victory this year in the Sandown 500 by Cameron Waters and Richie Stanaway.
“Hearing what Phil wants to do with his team – he’s obviously been very successful in his businesses and he’s a people person – I get a really good vibe about his vision and his commitment that he’s going to bring to the sport and the team,” Davison told Supercars.com.
