THE provisional entry lists for the 2018 MotoGP World Championship have been released by the FIM ahead of this weekend’s season finale in Valencia.
Next year’s MotoGP grid will expand to 24 bikes, Lucio Cecchinello Racing adding a second Honda alongside regular rider Cal Crutchlow for Moto2 graduate Takaaki Nakagami.
Taka Naka is among a diverse rookie class of 2018, with newly-crowned Moto2 world champion Franco Morbidelli moving up to the top class alongside his chief rival Tom Luthi — both lobbing at Marc VDS Racing — while fellow Moto2 racer Xavier Simeon also makes the step up aboard a satellite Ducati.
